Hotel had comfortable beds. Nearby Farmhouse - great place to chill out...
There's no better place to stay in Evanston. We appreciated that the little french hotel was close to the beach.
We would like to come again, thanks. All in all, it was vacation base for traveling to Evanston. Right by the downtown, 15 minutes on foot. Shuttle was offered too.
Love the location most as parent of student at Northwestern...staff was very friendly. And there are no other nIce hotels in Evanston so they have a monopoly.
For the price and reputation, the rooms are nice but nothing special..the bathroom was tiny and the most uncomfortable hotel bathroom I have had in a long time...one tiny corner sink, nowhere to put anything, no full length mirror, etc..
It was very comfortable and great location.
You need to check the snack and drink bar more often and replenish with fresh drinks and snacks. There was a OJ in frig. which was half drank and had mold in it. I didn't have anything to stir my coffee with in the morning. But other than that, it was nice.
I came to the area to attend a school reunion. The location was perfect. I was also happy to see that Evanston is still a very nice place. The staff at the Orrington was very helpful and friendly. My room was clean and well-stocked with towels and mini-bar items. When I requested to have my room cleaned within a two hour period, Housekeeping very kindly obliged.
I have two things I didn't like about my room. The bathroom is very, very small. There isn't enough space to put down cosmetic bags, toiletries, etc. Also, I like to put my things in a dresser. There wasn't one in the room.
Avery quiet and friendly place.
The hotel was beautiful, very clean and well-designed. It is nestled in a walking-friendly area just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city...but close enough to get downtown with ease.
The bathrooms are a little too small for comfort.
Great location, close to family living on Oak Street. I like to walk and this is a walking destination. Very clean, luxurious and I would recommend to anyone!
Bathroom is small--sink area is crowded--but workable.
Noisy, charges for everything, unfriendly staff.
I went there because of location; it is very close to Northestern u
The hotel was old and not renovated in years. The general condition was ok, but not for the price I paid. In addition, I had some trouble with the assignation of the room. I asked in advance for a quiet room. Thet gave me one next to some engine for the air conditioning of the building... then I moved to another, which was next to some room for the cleaning people. I listened chats and laughts all night long. There is nothing wrong with laughts and chat, but not when you pay $200 a night and ask a quiet room.
The staff are very friendly and helpful in giving tips and direction, the location is near the convention. the room is spacious and clean. The area was near the NW campus and a lot of nice restaurants surrounding the hotel
There wwas no hot water in the morning. The last time I stayed there the bagel I had for breakfast was moldy.
We had a problem with the heater in the room and had to be replaced. The hotel compensated us for the inconvenience which was really appreciated. All staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good.
Our room was small
location to downtown evanston is great with the restaurants and shops
thought the amenities at that price could be much better
